Racing summary thus far – 7 races, 4 wins, 8 podiums

The action has been thick and fast this year since the start of our new season. Our first race back in March at the Oulton Park Masters meeting saw a third place & podium for Jamie in his E-Type in the Gentleman Drivers race.

Early April then saw the first CSCC Classic K race at Snetterton. Chris Scragg was driving solo & Mike & John Bussell were in the second of the two E-Types. Both cars qualified at the front of the grid and Chris took the lead from Mike at the start and held position till the finish. Mike & John finished Second giving the team a one two finish.

Two weeks later saw a return to Snetterton for the Gentleman Drivers race with some seriously strong opposition to contend with. Jamie was driving solo & Chris was partnered with John Bussell once again. John comfortably grabbed pole with a 2.13 on the new circuit a full second & a half ahead of the rest of the field! Chris drove the first half of the race battling against Andrew Haddon’s E-Type and a supremely quick TVR Griffth. John then took over the car and took the lead & held it to the finish thus giving the team our first Gentleman Drivers race win. To make the result even better Jamie on his first outing on the new Snetterton 300 circuit came in third to give the team a one three finish; a big thank you to both Jamie & Chris for this superb result.

Our next outing saw Chris taking part in the AMOC Pre 66 GT race at Silverstone a week after his maiden win at Snetterton in XAN 555. Qualifying put Chris on Pole ahead of a quick AC Cobra and from the off they were neck & neck trading places throughout the race. The Cobra managed however to clear some back markers that then held up Chris meaning he was just beaten to the finish taking second overall and having lapped the rest of the field.

Finally (see report on blog) we competed in the JEC E-Type trophy race at Brands Hatch and took another one two finish which we now hope to repeat at the final round at Donington!

Big thank you & a special mention to our unsung heroes Richard & Jeff for their continued support & commitment as without them these fabulous results could not have been possible.
