The M & C Team headed from Dijon straight to Le Mans to attend the world’s most prestigious sports car race with Siamak Siassi’s E-Type competing in the Legends Support race. An amazing performance gave the M & C Team and Siamak’s E-Type fixed head coupe – 9th overall, 4th in Class and 1st E-Type home ahead of the works JD Classics E-Type roadster with Steve Soper no less at the wheel. Siamak kindly provided the following report of the event.
This season the M & C Team have started to provide race preparation and support to Siamak Siassi and Alexis De Beaumont with their beautiful pair of racing fixed head FIA E-Types. Following an impressive display in qualifying at the Spa Classic 2015, but an early end to proceedings in the race (due to electrical issues) it meant that the team headed a fortnight later to Dijon with high aspirations of achieving a highly respectable result to compensate for the disappointment of an early end to proceedings at Spa.
Chris Scragg has decided to solely focus on the AMOC meetings this season to take part in the ‘Innes Ireland Cup’ with his E-Type and the ‘Intermarque’ with his Aston Martin DBS V8. The ‘Innes Ireland Cup’ qualifying was first thing on Saturday and Chris managed to take pole position by some five seconds in the E-Type.
