M & C Wilkinson entered two cars in the JEC Jaguar E-Type 50th anniversary Trophy race. The first of our two E-Types was entered by Chris Scragg & his co driver John Bussell. The second car was driven by Michael & co driver Mark Wright.
The action has been thick and fast this year since the start of our new season. Our first race back in March at the Oulton Park Masters meeting saw a third place & podium for Jamie in his E-Type in the Gentleman Drivers race.
Snetterton – CSCC – 9th April 2011
The Sayer team comprising of Chris Scragg with his new E-type XAN 555 and Mike in his E-type AFW 165A who shared the driving along with John Bussell were left celebrating a very successful weekend.
The New Arrival – 4th April 2011
Congratulations to Michael Jnr and his partner Danielle on the birth of their first child, a beautiful baby daughter April Louise Wilkinson weighing 7lb 8oz. Mother, daughter and father are all doing great.
Our second visit of the year to Spa saw a vastly different weather forecast with rain set for the majority of the weekend. Qualifying on the Friday firstly was for the “Gentleman Drivers” 2 hour race with Jamie Boot driving his newly built lightweight E-Type. With pouring rain and a seventy one car strong field he immediately set about becoming accustomed to the car.
Once again a fabulous weekend’s weather accompanied the most prestigious event of the calendar. Michael was making his debut in the event with Tiff Needell against some of the most famous cars and drivers of a generation.
